Tessera Dance Theater is a non-profit corporation with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. This designation permits Tessera to receive funding from a wide range of sources, allowing us to bring arts education to marginalized students in the community. Our vision for Tessera has been years in the making with broad and wide-reaching goals. We seek to change our community through dance education and opportunity for all.

Tessera Dance Theater will be the home of Knoxville’s art hub. With the support of generous donors, as well as federal and state grants, we will build Knoxville’s first state-of-the-art rehearsal space, dance theater, and professional company.
